Louisiana Poker Tour exists to provide financial help to hometown charities and non-profit organizations in and around the state of Louisiana.
Want to win a seat at a $500 Buy-in WSOP Event?
Its FREE; all you need to do is start playing at any LPT sponsored tournaments.
How does it work?
You can start building up points by playing at any LPT sponsored event. As you play, you earn points based on how well you do. At the end of the year, the top 16 overall point leaders will advance to the final tournament. In addition, the top point leader at each location will also advance to the final tournament. The final tournament will determine who will be the 2012 LPT champion.
Note: Location must host a least 3 tournaments during the year to qualify for location winner.
How does the final tournament work?
The top 16 overall players with the most points at the end of the year will play in a final tournament. In addition, the top point leader at each location will play in the final tournament. Players starting chips will be based on the number of points they earned during the year x 2.
Example: Mr. Smith has 20,000 LPT points 20,000 x 2 = 40,000 starting chips.
How do I register?
Before each tournament, you will fill out a registration form at the door. The form must be completely filled out. You must include your email address.
What do I win?
The winner of the final tournament will win a $500 entry into a WSOP event. The winner will also receive a hotel night, dinner for two and the title of 2012 Louisiana Poker Tour Champion.

Official Rules
Must be 21 to play.
Proper ID required
LPT reserves the right to change, modify or cancel prizes or contest without notice.
Winner will receive an entry into a WSOP Circuit event not to exceed $500 buy-in. Event will be determined at a later date.
A Player may only receive entry points at the tournament they physically play in. A Player must play at least one hand to receive entry points.
Players must have a valid email address.
Each participant authorizes the LPT to unconditional use of his or her likeness and name and name of hometown for purposes of advertising and promotion without compensation, consideration, notice, review, or consent where permitted.
